An attempt today at abstract expressionist art. Obviously as usual inspired by florals. I will admit I do find this style challenging as I don't really know when something is 'finished' I often find myself adding extra detail or further layers of watercolour wash which I then feel destroys it.
I used my Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolours in my pan set for this, it is a small set though so I have very limited colours. I'm currently deciding which Watercolor brand I like most before investing in a larger range.
I think this piece is certainly progression for me in terms of this style. I was able to stop and can look at it and see a definite abstract expressionist vibe - well I can, can you?
