Today I woke up full of inspiration after my one to one tuition session yesterday with Alison C Board a mixed media artist based in Dorset. (Read more about this on my blog here)
I decided to spend time working on more variations of the Iris (and then a tulip as you can see in the background) so far I have create 3 very different pieces which I am actually pleased with; I know they are not great but they are so much closer to what I want to achieve since I have learnt so many new key skills and techniques.
I started with a sketch that then got masked with Alison's masking fluid. As pictured above.
Then after wetting the paper I applied Paperartsy Infusions that I brushed in a vertical motion with a wet brush.
Once dry I added a second layer of infusions in the same way. I left it to dry again then I removed the masking fluid and worked on the flower and bud. I would love to know what you think of this piece.
